Atmospheric & Haunting Singer-Songwriter
- Ann Ramsey is a musically-trained, Delaware-based singer-songwriter who specializes in acoustic, folk and traditional music in the Americana and Anglo-Celtic genres. She has a background in history and loves to set her many story-songs in unusual eras and locales. She joined the Philadelphia Folksong Society Musical Artists Cooperative (PFS MAC) in 2025, and played a solo set at the Philadelphia Folk Festival 2025.
- Ann performs live at local events, showcases, open mics, and song circles in the DE/NJ/PA area, and is described as having an atmospheric and haunting style.
- She released her four singles in the summer/fall of 2025. Her first LP (Gallowglass) released October 1st. It garnered a DE Public Radio Homey Award for instrumentation.
- A registered Delaware Artist and grant recipient from the Delaware Division of the Arts, she also occasionally leads group workshops and song circles. Her teachers and coaches include Guy Van Duser, Teddy Thompson, John Gorka, Eliza Gilkyson, Sloan Wainwright, and Korby Lenker.
